For Those of you at the meet on Saturday congratulations on some great performances!!  Many Storm records and League records broken!! The Youth boys 4x400 Team of Zach Turner, Jalen Davis, Angelo Pulido and Kory Bacon broke the Western League record with a time of 3:45.50!! Joshua Anderson set both the 1500, 4:45.50, and the 800, 2:20.53 

Now on to IEC next week at Oaks Christian High! 
I will send out the list of athletes that will advance after our seeding meeting tomorrow. If your athletes were in the 1500 or 3000 all will advance. The top 4 and best 5th in the sprints, and top 4 and next 4 from both Leagues will advance in the 800. All but 2 relays advanced (midget boy 4x100 B team and Youth girls 4x100 did not) So if you are on a relay please make sure you are there for all the runners!! What a great day for STORM.

Calling all STORM Grill Masters 
As we prepare for our end of the year awards picnic we have been informed that we will not have the big grill trailer we have used in the past. We are asking for 8 parents to bring their  BBQ grills (charcoal or propane) and help us cook!! We need people to bring their grill to Newhall Park at 10:00 am to start the cooking. We will supply all the food and a special Storm Grillers apron. 
Lets see who can cook up the best Burgers and dogs.

Individual Event Championship Meet 
There will be medals for all athletes that participate! Please arrive early as the stadium does not offer a lot of seating and tents will be limited in the stands. The first high jump for Bantams will start at 8:15  and all other field events start at 8:30 and the first running event at 8:45. This is a great meet and we will see the best of the best from all teams! 
 
Save the Date - BBQ and Awards Picnic - May 21 
 
grill-people.jpgEnd of season BBQ and Awards Banquet. More information will be posted next week, but do mark your calendars for Sunday May 21th for our end of season awards picnic at Newhall Park 11:30 pm. 
We need cooks with barbecues, We will be on our own this year, and we need to have some cooks help. If you like to grill, let us know by volunteering to cook at the picnic. We need grills also, if you have a BBQ grill, we will need some people to bring their grills to the BBQ so we can cook all the food and feed everyone.
